You can still click on its title and, for example, open the entire note in the same separate window that appears when you created it. Quick Notes isn't like a word processing document where it's worth taking a moment to decide exactly where to save it. But notes have to go somewhere, and always creating them in a new inbox called Sticky Notes means we don't have to think. The new Quick Notes folder in Apple Notes is an inbox, and you don't need to leave anything there. There is currently no way to save a sticky note directly to any other folder.Įxcept once you've created a Sticky Note, you can go to Apple Notes, drag it out of that folder, and drop it wherever you want. Specifically, any notes you create this way go into a new folder called Sticky Notes. The second criticism though was that it doesn't actually use exactly Apple Notes, it uses a new subset of it. It is completely true now and surely it will always be so.
One was that it only worked with Apple Notes and that's totally true. There were two reasonably common key criticisms of Apple's Quick Notes feature when it was announced. But luckily you can change the key combination to something else, and that will work. It clearly isn't or you couldn't write the words Quick Note.
